48% of renewable energy generation in the European Union

In 2024,the proportion of renewable energy generation in the EU will reach 48%,while the proportion of fossil fuel generation will decrease to 28%.Nuclear power generation will account for 24%,setting a historical low for fossil fuel generation.Among them,the photovoltaic power generation is 281.09TWh,an increase of 19%compared to 2023;In 2024,the EU’s electricity demand will grow by less than 2%,still below pre crisis levels,mainly due to various factors such as slowing industrial growth,improving energy efficiency,and energy-saving measures;

In 2024,the average electricity price in the EU will drop to 82 euros per megawatt hour,lower than the 97 euros per megawatt hour in 2023.At the same time,there were 1480 instances of negative electricity prices,setting a new historical high;In 2024,carbon emissions from the EU power industry will decrease by 59%compared to 1990 levels and by 13%compared to 2023,reaching a new low.
