The world’s largest clean energy corridor has a peak output of over 70 million kilowatts

The reporter learned from China Three Gorges Corporation that in recent days,many parts of China have experienced high temperatures,and the demand for electricity continues to rise.On July 31st,the world’s largest clean energy corridor,consisting of six cascade hydropower stations including Wudongde,Baihetan,Xiluodu,Xiangjiaba,Three Gorges,and Gezhouba,ensured peak power supply,with peak output exceeding 70 million kilowatts,setting a new historical high.The output of Baihetan Hydropower Station reached 16 million kilowatts,achieving full operation for the first time since its commissioning.

Three Gorges Corporation Yangtze Power actively undertakes the responsibility of power supply guarantee.Under the unified dispatching of the State Grid and China Southern Power Grid,and on the premise of ensuring flood control safety,it continues to increase the power supply of the world’s largest clean energy corridor,gives full play to the role of cascade power stations as backbone power sources and strong peak capacity,effectively alleviates the power supply tension in power consumption areas,and meets the demand of the masses for power for production and living.

At present,China is in a critical period of flood prevention and control.Three Gorges Corporation Yangtze Power has always strictly followed the instructions of the National Flood Control Headquarters,the Yangtze River Flood Control Headquarters,and the relevant work deployment of the Ministry of Water Resources,comprehensively considered the upstream and downstream flood control safety situation,continued to strengthen hydrological and meteorological forecasting,deeply carried out joint optimization and scheduling of cascade reservoirs,strengthened inspection and unit operation and maintenance management of cascade power stations,and made every effort to ensure flood control safety and national energy security in the Yangtze River Basin.

Next,Three Gorges Group will comprehensively promote flood control,safety production,and power supply,lean the operation of the Yangtze River cascade reservoir group,strengthen power generation resource management,optimize operation mode arrangements,ensure stable and full power generation of various units and power supply,and use multiple energy storage methods to assist in power grid optimization and scheduling.Through peak shaving and valley filling,reasonable allocation of power resources will be made,and all efforts will be made to ensure energy supply.
